Course details

At The Completion Of The Course, The Students Are Expected To:

  • Describe the broad concept of the fundamental principles of quality nursing care, and demonstrate skill in providing nursing care to people of all age groups based on principles of physical, biological and behavioral sciences in an institution or in a community setting.
  • Participate as a member of the health care team in promotive, preventive and restorative health care delivery system of the country.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision making abilities in various nursing situations.
  • Strive to emulate the divine physician, recognizing and serving Christ in the person of sick and needy.
  • Promote and protect the economic, general and professional welfare of nurses and to raise the standards of nursing as a profession.
  • Demonstrate the skill in critical thinking and the nursing process as bases for clinical decision making.
  • Recognize responsibility for maintaining competence as a registered nurse through self evaluation and continuing nursing education.

Eligibility

  • 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from state |Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School [NIOS] recognized by Central Government.
  • Registered ANM with pass Marks.
  • For Foreign Nationals: The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed as above.
  • 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST.
  • Any other reservation as per the State and Central Govt.
  • Age 17yrs to be completed by December 31st of that year.
  • GNM Applicant must not be more than 35 years of age.
